Jordan's Birthday

Jordan turned 23 on Tuesday. We went to the Bee's Game that night with friends and family. We had a great time :) Thanks to everyone who came with us. Before the game we went to The Counter where you have them make you a custom burger. It was really good. Jordan and James (Macie's Boyfriend) went to the midnight showing of Transformers that night. Jordan I hope you had a great day! I love you!!

Motorcycles - Father's Day

This past weekend we went to my parents house to get some things fixed on our car and enjoy time with the family. When we arrived at my parents house there was two brand new motorcycles in our front yard. My dad had just bought them in Friday and MicKlane and him had gone on a few rides. MicKlane had a few accidents while we were there, nothing serious. Jordan went on the 4-wheeler with them a few times and later he went on the motorcycle. He loved them and I was nervous the whole time he was gone. I have almost convinced Jordan that my hometown is a great place to live because of the hills and stuff around that you can ride on.

Sunday was a wonderful day. I have the best father and husband in the world. For Father's Day I got Jordan a new tie and my sister Michelle made one for Mikah that matched :) He looked so cute. He also got a new belt and a few things for the Wii. Thanks Jordan for all you do for Mikah and I. I LOVE YOU!!!

I have a few pictures I would like to share.
He always has his hands in the funniest positions.

Here he is kinda upset in his cute little outfit (it is way too big for him)

He loves his swing, sometimes :)

This is my new favorite. Today we were supposed to go to Alyssa's softball tournament but they lost last night so they won't be playing today, but we decided to still dress him in his cute little baseball outfit.

I have a few stories to share {before I forget them}:

First, a few days ago Mikah was crying in his crib. It was 15 minutes before his feeding time so I decided to just let him cry for 15 minutes and then I would feed him. I was picking up the house and had to take something in his room. When
I went in there I checked on him and noticed that he didn't have a diaper on. I was confused at first, but then realized he had kicked off his diaper and blanket and poo was EVERYWHERE. It was a mess. Luckily my little sister McKenzie was here to help me so she cleaned everything up while I cleaned Mikah up. Kenzie left yesterday, I don't know what I am going to do without her. She was such a great help and always willing to change Mikah's diaper.

The second story is funny to me. I hope you find it entertaining. So my mom was changing Mikah's diaper and he was not very happy. I just picked up Mikah's binki to put in his mouth when he started to pee. My reaction was to stop the pee. So I put my hand in front of the stream of pee and he peed all over his binki. Oops!!

Mikah Elias Potter
June 2nd @ 9:04 AM
6 lbs. 14 oz. - 20 inches long

After 26 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing the doctor decided that he wasn't going to be coming down any more and we had two options. 1, we could see if another doctor thought it was possible to do forceps or 2, we could do a C-section. Together Jordan and I decided to try the forceps after talking with the doctor who would be doing it. After only about 4-5 minutes of pushing, our little Mikah finally joined us. He was having trouble breathing at first and I think those were the longest few minutes of my life (Jordan's too). Luckily we delivered at the only hospital that has a respiratory therapist at every deliver, so he got him up and breathing on his own within the first few minutes. I was able to hold him for a few seconds before they took him to the nursery. Jordan followed them to the nursery while I got stitched up and stuff. He stayed in the nursery for about 8 hours and now can be with us whenever we want. We love him and think he is so darn cute. He definitely has his mommies nose, but looks like daddy too. We are so happy that he is finally here. The 26 hours of labor was very long, but I am very happy that it didn't end up in a C-section and we will be going home tomorrow morning :)
